Accelerating Youth Innovation & Entrepreneurship
Transforming Ideas into Investment-Ready Ventures
The Sarawak Innovation Challenge 2026 is a strategic imperative designed to accelerate youth innovation and entrepreneurship across Sarawak, directly supporting the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development's core mandate. Drawing inspiration from world-class models like the MIT 100K and Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Competition, this initiative establishes a rigorous three-phase structure—Pitch, Accelerate, and Launch—to transform high-potential ideas into investment-ready ventures. Focused on three strategic pillars aligned with PCDS 2030—Digital and Connectivity, Green Economy and Sustainability, and Rural Transformation and Food Security—the Challenge engages over 500 Sarawakian youth while providing world-class mentorship from GLCs and international partners. With a substantial RM 500,000 Grand Prize and clear KPIs projecting 5-10 new startups and 50-100 high-value jobs within two years, this platform positions MYSED at the forefront of Sarawak's economic transformation, translating the Premier's vision into concrete, measurable outcomes that create a lasting legacy of entrepreneurship and innovation.
